Each child also received a new pair of shoes and the remainder of the money was used to purchase many needed items like medicine and diapers, at the request of the orphanage directors.
New kicks for Group 8
During the party, one of the caregivers lead the children in singing a few songs and doing some traditional Russian dances. They also sang Happy Birthday to Samuel as he blew out the candle on the top of his marshmallow! It was a sweet time for us to spend with the kids, before we came back later in the day to leave with Samuel. It was hard to say goodbye to them, but we know they are in Hands much greater than ours'.
We will miss them dearly. Blessings to all who gave so generously.

what an awsome thing to be able to do for those kids. Glad to hear you have Samuel and are at the end of the tunnel so to speak. We will be praying for you in this last stage. Or better yet the begining.

As I write it's Monday evening in Moscow and hopefully you have the paper work started for the final steps to bringing Samuel Matvey home to live in our midst. He will be loved by all who know you and his story. He's truly a fortunate child that he is loved so much and this will be just the beginning of a greater love that he'll have the opportunity to experience. We can't wait. Hurry home. We love you,

What a blessing that you were able to do this! Love the rows of tiny shoes :) I'm sure it'll be a sweet memory for all the little ones at the Baby Home.
